Post Danmark

The Post Danmark is the organization accountable for the primary postal services in Denmark. It’s a government linked entity which was founded in 1995 as a result of political liberalization endeavors taking up mail delivery responsibilities of Postvaesenet, the government postal department started since 1924. The organization turned to public limited enterprise in 2002. The Post Danmark offers for a broad spectrum of services like express deliveries (assured delivery strictly within 9 am next morning), the facility services, the courier services, the 10 o’clock servicing which ensures delivery with 10 am all days) and the electronic mailbox where the mails would be scanned electronically & sent via email and not the regular posts. The Post Denmark has grand staff strength with nearly 21,000 employees serving in 8 business units. The organization operates through around nine hundred post offices & post shops. It has it’s headquarter located in Copenhagen in Denmark. Lars Idermark is the Chairman of Post Danmark, Isa M Rogild is the Chairperson and Lars Chemnitz is the Secretary of the organization board. The Post Danmark has been felicitated in 2004 with the “Danish Quality Award” given its strict adherence to EFQM standards in developing the quality of the organization and its service to customers.

Post Danmark Tracking

The Post Danmark offers for postal delivery tracking services through the “Track & Trace” section on its website. The Danish postal organization allows the tracking of both domestic and international deliveries from them that include postal parcels, registered letters, insured letters and light goods. The tracking service can be utilized both by Parcels search and Reference search.

In case of parcels search the customer has to fill in the Barcode number which is a thirteen character alphabetical + number code on the space provided, followed by a click on the “Search’ button. Then, in case of Reference Search, the customer is needed to put in his Customer ID and his preferred Reference on the respective spaces given on the web page. A hit on the “search” tab in both the cases will give out information regarding the condition plus situation of the customer’s parcel as delivered through the Post Danmark.
