Czech Post - Česká pošta

The Czech Post is the primary postal company for Czech Republic. It’s a government owned entity and was founded in 1993 when Czechoslovakia got dissolved. Czech Post or “Česká pošta”, as it is called in Czech, was segregated from Slovenske mail and from telecommunication administrations. The services from Czech Post are letter deliveries, money order services, parcel services, Czech Point, advertising leaflets, eServices, Data Mailbox, circulation of newspapers and magazines, sale of revenue stamps, goods & highway stickers at the post offices, mail printing & consolidation and services in client zone. The services in client zone include contract watching, web stamp services and online posting. Currently, the Czech Post is operating with 3,385 post offices (that includes Partner & Services Point) and is supported by a staff strength of nearly 35,000 full time employees. Ing. Jiří Maceška is the Supervisory Board Chairman while Ing. Petr Zatloukal is the Director General of Czech Post. The Czech Post has its head quarter situated in Praha. The organization has introduced several online tools on its website to help out the customers in different as well as a call Centre where the clients can either ring up or e-mail about their specific service queries.

Czech Post Tracking

The Czech Post offers for Czech Post tracking services from their website. It’s one of the functional tools from the organization and helps the customer to trace and stay updated about the present status of their items sent through Czech Post. The postal entity allows for tracking of delivery of parcel to the Post Office, delivery of parcel to hand, insured parcel, EMS, Insured letter (international and domestic) etc. The Post website has a special section termed “Track & Trace” dedicated for tracing the deliveries. The customer would have to enter the web page and submit the Posting number which is a 13 character alpha-numeric code and that too in the original pattern on the space provided. After entering the code the next step is to click on the tab below saying “Send the form” on which Czech Post would come up with the location and status of the parcel.
