China Post

The China Post is PRC’s primary postal service. It’s operated through PRC’s State Post Bureau and is a government owned organization as well as a regulatory body. Hence China Post is accountable for the regulation of China’s postal industry & management of the country’s postal enterprises. The China Post was founded in 1949 and it has it’s headquarter in Xicheng District in Beijing. Currently the organization functions through 82,116 postal offices & branches and 236 centers for mail processing throughout Mainland China. The entire operation is carried by 39, 000 transport vehicles, 73 railway carriages, 3 aircrafts and on 3.1 M kilometers truck route (both 1st and 2nd class). This apart, the China Post hosts 155 machines for letter sorting, 259 machines for auto parcel sorting and 20,000 postal offices which are computerized. The services from the organization include international and domestic mail delivery, news papers, books and journals circulation, stamp issuing, the production plus sale of the philatelic collections, the postal remittance duties, communication of confidential correspondence, postal finance responsibilities, postal express logistics and delivery services, the e-business help and many other postal agency services. Mr. Li Guohua is the running President of China Post and Mr. Liu Mingguang is the Vice President.
